The Creative Learning Project seeks to enhance the educational needs of the people of Morocco by providing creative learning opportunities and training through the media of art, craft, music, sports, life skills, clubs, camps, computer skills, teacher training, and cultural exchange. The program is suited for people of a wide age and economic range and funding may be available through government grants, personal gifts and pledges, financial help from other interested organizations, and other means.
The traditional approach to education in Morocco relies heavily on lecture and rote memory skills. While this system teaches factual knowledge and is excellent for training the memory, it is limited in its creative expression. Children and adults alike can benefit from a multifaceted approach to learning which will cultivate their creativity. This approach to learning begins with young children exploring new ideas and materials and proceeds to learning processes and technical know how which grows as the person matures while developing their creative as well as critical thinking skills. It is an interactive approach allowing the individual opportunities to hear, see, feel and
experience the activity.
